There is a wisdom that can only be found when we stop rushing.
The forest does not demand anything from us. It does not ask us to perform, achieve, or become someone else. It simply invites us to be present.
Forest Bathing, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku ("taking in the forest atmosphere"), is a guided experience designed to help you reconnect with nature through mindful awareness, sensory exploration, and quiet reflection.
This is not a hike. There is no destination to reach and no physical challenge to overcome. Instead, we move slowly, engage our senses, and allow the natural world to become our teacher. Whether you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply longing for more time outdoors, Forest Bathing offers an opportunity to nourish your body, calm your mind, and awaken your relationship with the living world.
What Is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing is the practice of immersing yourself in nature with intention and awareness. Through a series of guided invitations, participants are encouraged to slow down and engage with the sights, sounds, textures, scents, and rhythms of the forest. Research has shown that spending mindful time in nature may help:
Reduce stress and anxiety
Support nervous system regulation
Improve mood and emotional well-being
Lower blood pressure
Enhance focus and mental clarity
Foster a greater sense of connection and belonging
Increase feelings of peace, gratitude, and awe
Forest Bathing is not about exercise. It is about presence.
What To Expect
Each Forest Bathing experience is unique, but a typical session may include:
Opening Circle: We begin by gathering as a group, setting intentions, and learning about the practice of Forest Bathing.
Guided Nature Invitations: Throughout the experience, you will be gently guided through a series of mindfulness and sensory awareness practices designed to help you engage with the natural world in a deeper way.
Slow, Mindful Walking: We move at a relaxed pace, allowing plenty of time to observe, listen, and notice what is unfolding around us.
Solo Reflection Time: Participants are invited to spend time quietly connecting with a place in nature that calls to them.
Sharing Circle: Those who wish to share their experiences are welcome to do so in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
Tea Ceremony: We close our time together with a simple tea ceremony, honoring the gifts of the forest and the experience we have shared.
